40 years of silverproduction


Right beside the old shoreside houses at Vikøyri are the premies of Fjordsylv, a workshop with specialising in traditional Norwegian silver craftmanship. With the Sognefjord as a backdrop and continual source of inspiration, new life is breathed into old cultural heritage and new models with a local touch are created. From the workbenches above the shop, everything from Viking motifs to silver jewellery for the traditional costume known as "bunad". The huge demand for genuine hand-crafted products has greater choice of design and better distribution necessary. That is why the ever increasing number of Fjordsylv articles are now available at a growing number of spcialist retailers throughout the country.

"Steimsringen"

The enormous Viking burial mounds have revealed countless treasures. Findings at Steim in Vik have given rise to the extremely popular "Steimsringen" which is available both in gold and silver. Fjordsylv has been expending the selection and the collection now includes several different artivles based on the old Steim pattern.
